The Red Screen of Death (RSoD) is a serious and even fatal error screen that appears on earlier models of Windows Vista when there is a problem with the boot manager. The boot manager is, if I remember right, the device in the computer that organizes necessary files in order to get the computer running properly. If it is defective, the computer will refuse to run, instead showing this screen.

This is my real experience in my high school English II Honors class. I still used LibreOffice. The teacher never knew the difference. -Ronjoe
